What Hermes is
Hermes is a private automation tool operated by a single individual for their own personal use. It is not a commercial product and it is not offered, sold, or made available to the public. No other person's data is accessed at any time.
What it does
Hermes reads the owner's own Google data and distils it into a short daily summary, delivered to the owner's private messaging channel:
- Google Calendar — today's events, conflicts, and scheduling gaps
- Gmail — unread messages from the last 24 hours that need attention
- Google Drive — recently modified files
Access is read-only. Hermes never sends email, never creates or edits calendar events, and never modifies or deletes files.
How it works
Hermes runs on a self-hosted server controlled by the owner. It is granted read-only access to the owner's Google account through Google's OAuth 2.0 authorisation, and the owner can revoke that access at any time from their Google Account settings.
